第27回ワイズメンズクラブアジア地域大会
7/20-24、タイ・チェンマイで開催された大会に松田道子さん、ワイズメンの皆さんと参加をしてきました。大会ではオーストラリア、日本、フィリピン、香港、シンガポール、マレーシア、タイ、スリランカ、台湾の国でのワイズの働きについて報告、協議がされました。フィールドトリップではサンカンペーＹＭＣＡを訪問しましたが、神戸ＹＭＣＡとパートナーＹＭＣＡということがわかる神戸からのお土産、写真が飾ってありました。

シアトルと神戸姉妹都市提携記念式典＆シアトルＹ訪問
7/27-31の期間中に開催された姉妹都市提携60周年および姉妹港提携50年記念式典に玉田副市長以下記念訪問団と一緒に参加しました。特に両市の交流に貢献した5人が表彰され、トム・ホースレーさん（シアトルYMCA名誉副総主事）もそのお一人でした。翌日にはリニュアルオープンしたウエストシアトルＹＭＣＡでの式典に玉田副市長も参列してくださいました。（イマイガーデンのことは神戸青年9-10月号の記事をご覧ください）

ＪＣＣＣＮＣ（ＳＨＩＮＺＥＮ）
Dear friends at the Kobe YMCA,
Otsukaresama! Our group has made it back safely to San Francisco. The last group arrived this afternoon.
On behalf of the JCCCNC, Shinzen Program and the 94 participants that visited Kobe, I would like to send our sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality we received. I know that it took much work and preparation for our visit and I would like to thank you very much. Our Shinzen players and families had a wonderful time.
Please send our thanks to the host families, other organizations and countless others who made our stay in Kobe possible. The first-hand experience staying with a host family, meeting youth from Japan, participating in an international goodwill game, visiting Nagata Kodomo Home and learning about what happened during the 1995 Hanshin Earthquake are independently important, but as a whole created a once in a lifetime experience for our 18 Shinzen USA team members, and for that we are truly grateful.
Just so you know, I will be sending thank you letters to the host families from the JCCCNC. If there are others that I should also include, like organizations or school administrators, can you please send me their name and mailing address.
I would also appreciate any feedback/suggestions you have regarding the program.
Thank you again for your continued support of the JCCCNC and your hard work in creating wonderful memories for your Shinzen youth and their families. Many friendships were created and strengthened during our recent visit and I look forward to our continued work together in the future.

小林宣子さん記念会
今井鎮雄さんの娘さんである宣子さんは昨年の8月にお亡くなりになり、その記念会が8/6、東神戸教会で行われました。宣子さんは元余島リーダーでもあり、鎮雄さんが亡くなられた後は遺志を継ぎ、余島に対して多大なご支援をしてくださいました。
